What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment method that uses a series of clear plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. This is in place of metal archwires, brackets and elastics which are used for traditional metal braces. Invisalign aligners are made from a clear medical grade plastic which is extremely discreet. In fact, the material is so discreet it’s almost invisible, which means people around you won’t even know you’re having treatment – unless you tell them of course.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign’s clear plastic aligners are custom-made to the shape of your teeth using information we have received from the digital scans and impressions we take of your teeth at the start of treatment. This ensures your aligners are a comfortable fit and extremely effective.
Every two weeks you will be required to change your aligners. You can do this yourself because the aligners are removable – one of the many benefits of Invisalign treatment. Each set of aligners are moulded ever so slightly differently to guide your teeth into the desired position at the completion of treatment.
